Today is one of my favourite days on the corporate calendar… National Take your Dog to Work day! ![]()
OK, full disclosure.
This isn’t my dog in the photos. And nor is it my office!
But when the family pup made a surprise cameo in my recent website photo shoot, it was the perfect opportunity to pause the ‘lights, camera, action’ for a few minutes of puppy cuddles and a much-needed serotonin boost! And just by coincidence, the whole thing was caught on camera ![]()

I’ve always been a dog-lover, but it’s only through my work with RSPCA QLD that I’ve come to truly learn the depth of the transformative role dogs play in human wellbeing![]()

More than just cuddly companions, dogs can offer life-saving comfort in times of grief and trauma, support mental health recovery, help reduce youth crime and even help children regulate emotions to become more empathetic adults.
The programs RSPCA QLD offers are life-changing. Not just for the animals, but for the people who need them most. And the best part, they’re all provided at no cost to those who need them (check the comments to find out how you can donate and claim a tax deduction before the end of financial year).
While I don’t have a dog of my own yet, I’m a proud aunty to Rosie, who sometimes joins me in my home office to keep me motivated, drag me outside for walking breaks, and remind me how special our furry friends’ unconditional love can be.
If you can, get a dog.
But if you can’t get a dog, get a job where other people can take theirs! ![]()
