Making grant-writing simple!

While automation is on the rise in fundraising, if there’s one thing artificial intelligence can’t do, it’s craft a winning grant application.

When creating the content for an application for funding, charity goals, the proposed project and the funder’s criteria all need to weave together in a unique way that robots aren’t yet programmed for.

And, as anyone who has ever worked in a busy fundraising office can tell you, grant applications are one of those jobs that simply can’t be rushed.

Prices start from just $640

FAQs

Q. What is grant writing outsourcing?

A. Grant writing outsourcing refers to hiring an external company to prepare grant proposals on behalf of your charity. At Words and the Bees, we have the necessary skills and experience to increase your chances of securing grant funding.

Q. Why should a charity consider outsourcing grant writing?

A. Outsourcing grant writing can save you time, provide access to expertise, improve the quality of grant proposals, and increase the likelihood of securing funding. It allows your in-house team to focus on their core responsibilities.

Q. How do I choose the right grant writing service?

A. When choosing a grant writing service or professional, consider their experience, knowledge of your industry, pricing structure and reputation.

Q. What is the cost of outsourcing grant writing?

A. The cost of outsourcing grant writing can vary widely depending on the complexity of the grant and length of the application. At Words on the Bees, we work on a flat fee regardless of the outcome which will be decided once we’ve viewed the application and discussed the requirements.

All prices will be agreed in advance before any work begins.

Q. Does outsourcing guarantee grant funding?

A. While outsourcing may improve your chances of securing grants, it does not guarantee a successful application which ultimately lies with the funder. However, outsourcing may significantly increase the quality of your proposals and enhance your competitive edge.

Q. Does the grant writer submit the application?

A. When you choose Words and the Bees, we will not submit the grant application on your behalf, but we will prepare the application as much as we’re able. In the event of online applications, we may provide content on a Word document for you but as each application is different, we will discuss this before going ahead.

Q. Do we need to provide information about our organisation to the grant writer?

A. As much supporting information as you can give will increase the chances of success. Ideally, we would like to learn more about your mission and goals, specific project details and access to previous grant applications both successful and unsuccessful.

Q. What is the typical timeline for outsourcing grant writing projects?

A. Grant writing timelines can vary based on the grant’s deadlines and requirements. It’s essential to start the process well in advance to allow for thorough research, proposal development, and revisions. Timelines can range from several weeks to several months, depending on the complexity of the grant.

Q. How does a charity pay for grant writing?

A. When you choose Words and the Bees, payment is 50% in advance to schedule the application and begin work, and 50% on completion of the grant. Once the content has been approved, the final invoice will be raised regardless of the deadline, any changes you choose to make, or whether you choose to submit the application.
