What to expect from our Copywriting Services

If you’ve never worked with a copywriter before, don’t worry, you’re not alone! Purchasing content and copywriting services isn’t like going to the store and buying a product and it is often an integral cog in a much bigger marketing machine.

We want you to get the most out of our copywriting services from the word ‘go’ so if you’ve found yourself wading in unfamiliar territory, we’ve put together a straightforward step-by-step guide which will simplify the process for you from start to finish.

This process is completely flexible depending on your needs but it aims to give you a basic idea of how we operate.

 

1: Initial Contact
Once we receive your initial enquiry, we will have a telephone conversation with you to define the basics of your project.  We will send you an email with some fundamental questions that require an answer so that we can outline the scope of your project and prepare a quote.

 2: Project Proposal
Once you have provided us with the required information, we will email you a Project Proposal and a copy of our Terms and Conditions. The proposal will include a quote, what we believe you expect of us and a complete overview of the project.

 3: Deposit
Once we have received confirmation that you want to go ahead with the project, we will invoice you for 50% of the project and await payment.

4: The Brief
Unfortunately, there’s no getting around this part! We have tried it both ways, and it is conclusive that 30 minutes of your time to fill in a detailed brief at this stage, will save hours, if not days, once we start putting pen to paper.

Once payment is received, we will email you a Copywriting Brief form with as much information as we have taken from our initial conversations completed. The rest is for you to complete.

Some copywriters genuinely believe that they can create magic with a pen, however, the sad fact is, magicians we are not! Understanding precisely what you want us to create can only come from you, so as much information as you can give us here will allow us to understand the wider scope of the project and give us as much chance as possible of getting it right first time.

5: The Drafts
Once we receive your detailed brief, we will get to work and provide you with the first draft of your copy within the agreed timeframe.  All copy is supplied electronically in MS Word or MS Excel. If you require it in another format, please let us know at the briefing stage.

6: The Edits
We will await your feedback, either over the phone, via email or face to face and work with this to provide you with a second and third draft if necessary. Any revisions after this will incur charges at an agreed hourly rate which is billable once the project is complete.

7: Final payment
Once the final edits are emailed, a final invoice will be issued for payment within seven days.

We will always meet our deadlines, so please make us aware of any time constraints you are under so that we can make allowances where necessary. It is vital that realistic timeframes are set in the early stages so that we can meet your expectations.
